Frequently Asked

Quick answers before you reach out

These are the questions we field most often. If yours isn’t here, just ask — we love the strange ones.

How far in advance should I book?
For wedding luge bars and small installations, 6–8 weeks is usually sufficient. For large corporate builds, multi-piece brand activations, or peak-season events (May–October), we recommend 3–6 months. Rush commissions are possible for a surcharge if studio capacity allows — call us directly to explore.
Do you travel for destination events?
Yes. Sorbitium regularly ships to the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada, and select European cities. We coordinate refrigerated trucking, customs documentation, and on-site climate tents. Travel and logistics are quoted as a separate line item, always with full transparency — email our logistics lead for a destination feasibility review.
How long does a sculpture last at my event?
A well-tended sculpture in a 68–72°F indoor venue holds its sharpest detail for 4–6 hours and remains photogenic for 8–10. For outdoor events in warm climates, we build in structural margin and recommend installation windows under 3 hours. Our team remains on-site to mist, shade, and rotate the piece as needed.
Can I supply my own design or brand assets?
Absolutely. We work from sketches, mood boards, CAD files, logos, or pure conversation. Our sculptors translate your brief into structural geometry suited to ice — we’ll always flag elements that won’t survive the medium and propose alternatives. We also create fully original concepts when you’d rather be surprised.
What is the investment range?
Intimate luge bars begin around $2,800. Most wedding centerpieces and mid-scale installations fall between $4,000 and $12,000. Large brand activations and multi-piece environments range from $18,000 to $80,000+. Every quote is itemized — you see exactly what you’re paying for. Browse our portfolio for real-world examples at each scale.
Do you offer a deposit or payment plan?
Yes. A 40% deposit secures your dates, with the balance split across two milestones: 30% at concept approval and 30% the week of the event. For corporate clients, we accommodate net-30 invoicing on confirmed PO’s above $25,000. Full terms arrive with your proposal — no fine print games.
